‘How, ever?’ is the debut EP from Japan-born, Hong-Kong raised, Australian singer songwriter Asia. An introspective yet relatable piece of work that captures that time in your life when you have to make decisions that will affect the rest of it. All set to some alternative-R&B grooves featuring dusty breaks, orchestra strings, analog synths, trip-hop piano, washy guitars and crafty samples.
But lyrics and production aside, to top it off, is one of the most recognisable and magnetic voices emerging from Australia’s alt-pop scene.

Asia’s voice is unique and her influences are diverse, yet her passions are clear in her vibe; raised on a mix of classic soul, modern alt-RnB and lo-fi chill.
The EP’s songs ‘sentiments’ are perfectly aligned to the vines - chill, cyclical, period of acceptance that whatever choice you choose, the outcome is uncertain. Therefore, is there such a things a ‘right time’ when you can never know what the alternate reality would have been?
