Hi! At Galaxy, we’re looking for a bass player. Any additional instruments, vocal ability is a bonus!
We’ve got a few shows coming up, let’s start there! If you’re available these dates + a few rehearsals beforehand. It could work!
Thursday June 12th at the Retreat in Brunswick.
Thursday June 26th at The Workers Club in Fitzroy.
From a time commitment perspective. We’re pretty easy on rehearsals. Usually one a week, typically on a Sunday daytime at Bakehouse in Richmond, or a weeknight evening (Monday/Tuesday) in Hydra rehearsal room in Burwood.
We can be flexible around days/times to accommodate all, and sometimes someone can’t make it and we do it anyway.

Who / what is Galaxy?
Galaxy Music is a new label and alt-pop music community. Supporting amazing artists with recording and releases.
We launched in April (so we’re super new) with a showcase at The Workers Club and a label sampler vinyl release.
We have a “house band” - basically a core group of people that play together, sometimes rotate depending on requirements, and make artists sound amazing live.
The type of music we do? Honestly - we’re pretty genre-agnostic. A little electro, a Little Rock, a little RnB. It’s always generally a bit of alternative and a bit poppy (hence alt-pop!).

The songs / sets
The tracks are all relatively simple, they’re quite poppy arrangements and the rhythm section is all about keeping a steady, tight groove.
