K*ahna came to Melbourne from North Carolina, USA, alone, at age 21. Growing up never feeling at home in the Deep South of America, she moved halfway round the world to change the trajectory of her life - from an escape artist to a musical one.
K*ahna's raw, honest lyrics openly confront the challenges she’s overcome to get here, while being willing to admit that trouble isn’t just a one way street.
Her songs mirror her life story - sometimes dark, always hopeful, and destined for greatness.
Musically, her vibe is primarily alternative-pop, with elements of 1980s post-punk and dark-wave. But don’t be surprised to hear her on collaborations in any genre. The word Boundary is not in K*ahna’s vocabulary.
